Before I left for Vietnam, I was asked to shoot a wedding for a friend of a friend. It was a small ceremony held at the groom's church in Northern Virginia with a barbecue reception in the yard. P got dressed in a basement bathroom while an elderly man was on the toilet two feet away. S got dressed in the tiny A/V room with 4 of us shuffling around for space. It was casual and intimate. I've had an unusual number of requests to do wedding related shoots lately for friends and friends of friends and this was my first time actually trying to shoot a wedding ceremony with my limited gear set-up. It's a style of shooting I'm not super well versed in, but I had fun. The jury is out on whether or not I'm actually any good at this or if I even want to do more, but here are a handful of my favorite shots.
